The Goblin Magazine issues 1-3 Digital Download

In 1982, during the final days of Warren Magazines, The Goblin made its debut, spanning three issues. The series' main artwork was illustrated by the veteran artist Lee Elias, who had previously created the (original) Black Cat in the late 1940s and 1950s.

Most of the comic strips featured in The Goblin were tongue-in-cheek and humorous, such as "Wizard Wormglow." Additionally, a color comic book-sized middle section featured the Troll Patrol.

The main storyline revolved around a teenager from Harlem who stumbled upon a book of magic incantations, which allowed him to transform into "The Goblin." However, his younger brother also discovered the book, leading to disastrous consequences. For instance, alien invaders and an army battalion were accidentally transported from the other side of the universe and World War 2, respectively, into Harlem.
